Pre-Delivery Inspection
Review the agreed machine before final payment
A pre-delivery inspection, or PDI, gives the buyer a structured point to review the machine against the agreed project requirements before final payment or acceptance. The exact scope should be defined for the project rather than assumed to be the same for every order.
What can a PDI discussion cover?
The PDI scope may include the agreed machine configuration, visible nameplate or component information, relevant functions, photographs or videos, and records needed for the buyer's review. Any test or material-related step must be confirmed as part of the project scope.
The purpose is to make the agreed requirements and available records clear before acceptance. A PDI is not a substitute for a project-specific contract review or for an independent inspection when one is required.
PDI, documents and loading records are different steps
Use PDI for pre-final-payment machine review and acceptance. Use Certificates & Inspection Support for document availability or customer-appointed third-party inspection coordination. Use Packing & Loading for shipment preparation and loading records. These services can support the same project but answer different questions.
What should the buyer prepare?
Provide the relevant contract or configuration requirements, the preferred review timing, the records needed for approval and any inspection or test questions. HengMing can then confirm the available PDI scope for the project.
Move from inspection to the next project step
After the PDI scope is clear, the buyer can confirm the remaining document, loading or acceptance requirements with HengMing. Send the project details when a formal inspection discussion is needed.
